Congress Prepares To Recess For Winter

RUFUS - Both chambers of Congress are preparing to wrap up end of term activities including closing out final votes in both the House Of The People and the Senate. As the 83rd Congress comes to a close, members who are set for election in 2025, will formally launch their campaigns and prepare for a long process and battle to retain their seats. Leadership from both chambers are preparing for the new Congress to begin which is scheduled to begin on January 1, 2025. As leaders from both parties get ready for the New Congress, The House has many major votes it has on the first day agenda when Congress reconvenes. These bills include:

1. President Jay Laylin's 2024 Inflation Reduction Act

2. President Jay Laylin's 2024 Wasteful Government Spending Prevention Act

3. President Jay Laylin's 2024 J18 Million Dollar Funding To Secure Borders and Support Deportations.

4. 2025 Government Budget 

5. Government Spending Deficit Proposal

Several other bills are slated to be proposed and filed on the House and Senate Floor.
